as ever, these figures come from a combination of deduction and guesswork, and some are more credible than others.

enemy attack damage

these are based on little mac's energy in career being 1000.

i'm no good at attack names so i've mostly gone for generic descriptions: J = jab (or straight), H = hook, U = upper, O = overhead; L = left, R = right; d = delayed.

i've conflated multiple attacks where they inflict the same damage. for instance, king hippo's many jabs.

headgear damage is often a quarter of the naked damage, but there's considerable variation from this, so it's more like an entire parallel list of damage.

table 1a footnote: the hondo rush... i want to think is actually some value of naked damage that's four times the headgear damage. but i can't find good values that fit all the results and still satisfy this. the naked damage looks a lot like 33% 22% 11%, but quartering these gives values outside the possible ranges established for the headgear damage (the first hit can't be more than 81); while the most pleasing values for headgear damage, 81 54 27, when quadrupled, disagree with observations (pair + single + jab downs; but 540+324+125 = 989.)

fighter stats

energy here is based on little mac's basic attacks doing 6. many opponents take an inconsistent number of hits from fight to fight, i don't know whether this means they start with different energy or whether mac does extra damage under some circumstances.

energy in brackets is for those who can recover from being reduced to 0. hearts in brackets are for the secondary initial value that applies when you recover from exhaustion.

downs is the number of times you must knock them down to win, without getting a tko or one-hit ko. where possible, this is the knockdowns required for a ten-count.
